301 - Beautiful People

Cuba, Havana

Photographing in city streets normally people are there, often there is no point waiting for them to leave, so there are various techniques to remove them from the picture.

We start from multiple shots of the same scene, more or less automatic cloning or erasing tools up to the most sophisticated with AI.

Well one day, I said to myself, I want to do the opposite!

I want to elevate people (and the cars as well) from a distracting randomness to a predominant subject to enhance their beauty and vitality.

That's what I did! As in this photo, and several others of mine, giving the city landscape irrelevance compared to what is alive, with a meticulous editing procedure.

302 - Blessed with a restless heart

al-Maghrib (Morocco), Gorges du Dades

A very young Berber girl drags her mule with a rope. The animal is loaded to capacity with a dog as its only support. A flock of goats grazes on the sparse vegetation among the rocks with the guardian sitting and observing.
The photograph was taken in the "Pattes de Singes" area, not far from the fascinating gorge that forms the Dades River of incredible scenic beauty.
The cat waits in front of the door of the house, sooner or later someone will open and a glimmer of light will hit the old staircase.

303 - Chinatown Gate

Mexico, Cidade do Mexico (Mexico City) downtown

This image is supposed to have the effect of present-day people walking into an antique print.
More illusory than the reality they have accustomed us to, if you pass through this portal you enter Mexican Chinatown, where anything can happen.

304 - Lost people in the corridors of the Guggenheim museum

Spain, Bizkay, Bilbao

Mastering in multi-focus technique for an extreme richness in the deep field.

The Guggenheim basement is a huge space and the visitors move quickly, from the 2nd level balcony they look like ants wandering around lost in the enormous rusty metal cylinders.

The Guggenheim is a museum of modern and contemporary art designed by Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry.

305 - Jax the hairdresser true to the line

Cuba, Havana

In Havana, the myth coexists with everyday life.
Every job is done on the street or almost, like the shop of Jax, a hairdresser in the atrium of this building.

Excellent representation of the moment from the sulky expression of the kid to the professional mastery of the barber in an environment where every detail is enhanced by the play of light and the objects are elevated to works of art in their terms.

306 - Traveling in style

(The Time Travelers)

Portugal, Lisbon, Tram N°28

This work is not made with AI!

It represents a couple of Time Travelers and, to better understand the sequence, it is necessary to observe the reflection in the tram window.

The image reflected is relative to moments preceding the current one. They belong to a time when those clothes were worn, look at the shirt and especially the bag, there is no doubt, that they are coming from a past age.

This is the composition of a main photo with one taken less than a second away used to change the reflection in the window glass.

Processed on a crumpled paper texture to make them look old.

307 - The Careful Driver

Cuba, Havana

Driving through the streets of central Havana requires a lot of attention, but very few are cautious.
The standard procedure is to use the horn at every corner ... but maybe this car got the horn broken, as happened to me and in Cuba, you cannot drive without it!,

309 - A postcard faded in the past

Cuba, Havana

Everyday life in downtown Havana, Cuba, seems to come from an impossible pastime.

These are not frozen moments, time is alive and in motion, but it seems faded like an old postcard.

In the picture a 1964 Studebaker Gran Turismo
